Holy Orders

"For this reason I remind you to rekindle the gift of God that is within you through the laying on of my hands" -- 2 Timothy 1:6 (NRSV)
Holy Orders is the sacrament by which a man is ordained to the diaconate (deacon), presbyterate (priest), or episcopate (bishop), through the authority of the Church, by the bishop’s laying on of hands. When a man becomes a priest, it is then his job to serve others, follow the Church teachings, and encourage others to do the same.
A man sensing a call to ordained priesthood is encouraged to call the St. Jerome parish office at 651-771-1209 to meet with a priest or deacon. Our whole community will encourage and pray for those discerning their vocation.
